Inspired by the romantic beauty of Claude Monet’s paintings, this intimate wedding at Gamble Garden in Palo Alto brought together art, nature, and deeply personal details. With just 20 of their closest family members and friends, the couple celebrated in a setting that felt perfectly suited to the occasion: a garden filled with beauty, warmth, and room to slow down.
Our design direction drew from the softness and painterly quality of Monet’s work, allowing the garden itself to shape the atmosphere. Rather than competing with the surroundings, the details complemented them, creating a romantic outdoor wedding that felt natural and thoughtfully composed. It was a celebration of the couple’s love for art and the experience they wanted to share with their guests.
One of the most meaningful details was a handwritten letter waiting at every place setting. The couple wrote individual notes filled with memories and words of appreciation, giving each guest a moment to understand just how much their presence meant. These letters became part of the dinner experience, sparking conversations, smiles, and a few happy tears.
As daylight softened, guests gathered for a candlelit dinner beneath the twinkle lights. The intimate setting allowed everyone to share stories and enjoy an unhurried evening together.
